Privacy Policy
QuickieCon is developed by QuickieDev ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how QuickieCon handles your information. The short version: QuickieCon has no accounts, and we never collect your files or personal content. The only information we collect is a small amount of anonymous app data that helps us keep the app stable and improve it.

1. What QuickieCon Does
QuickieCon lets nearby devices on the same Wi-Fi network share files and play music together, directly from one device to another. There is no user account, and the content you share is never uploaded to any cloud or server — it travels straight to the other devices in your session over your local network.
2. What We Collect — and What We Don't
To keep QuickieCon reliable and to improve it, we collect a small amount of anonymous app data on Android and iOS — such as crash reports and basic, aggregated information about how the app and its features perform. This helps us find and fix problems and make the app run smoother.
This data is anonymous and is about the app, not about you personally. We do not:
- collect your files, photos, videos, contacts, music, or messages — these never leave your device and are never sent to us;
- know who you are, or link this app data to your real identity;
- track you across other apps or websites, or build an advertising profile of you.
The desktop versions of QuickieCon (Windows, macOS, Linux) run fully offline and collect nothing at all.
3. Information That Stays on Your Device
QuickieCon saves a few things locally on your device so it can work. This information stays with you and is never sent to us:
- Your device name and a device ID — an editable display name (for example, "Galaxy-1234") and a randomly generated identifier, used only to label your device to other people in a sharing session. It is not tied to your real identity.
- Transfer history — a private log of the files you have sent and received (name, size, direction, status, and time), shown in the app so you can find them again. You can clear it at any time.
- Your settings — such as your chosen display name and theme.
- Files you receive — saved into your device's normal storage or gallery, where they remain yours to keep or delete.
- Temporary music data — audio used for the Music feature may be cached briefly while a session is active and is cleared automatically when the session ends.
All of the above lives only on your device. Deleting the app removes it.
4. Information Shared With Other Devices
When you host or join a session, other people connected to the same Wi-Fi network can see your device's display name so they know who is in the group. Anything you actively choose to send — a file, a photo, a contact card, an app, or music — goes directly to the devices you send it to over the local network.
Please note that these local transfers are not encrypted. This is fine on a private home or office network you trust, but you should avoid sharing sensitive files over public or unknown Wi-Fi networks. You are always in control of what you send and who you send it to.
5. What QuickieCon Can Access on Your Device
QuickieCon only asks for access to the parts of your device it needs to perform a feature you choose to use. Each is used on your device, for that feature only, and is never collected by us:
- Nearby devices & Wi-Fi — to find and connect to other QuickieCon devices on your network.
- Camera — only to scan a QR code when you join a session. Nothing the camera sees is stored or sent.
- Photos, videos, and files — so you can pick what to send, and so received files can be saved.
- Music — so you can choose songs to play in a shared session.
- Contacts — only if you choose to share a contact card, and only the card you select.
- Installed apps (Android) — only if you choose to share an installed app with someone.
You can review or change these permissions at any time in your device's settings. Denying a permission simply disables the feature that needs it.
6. Children's Privacy
QuickieCon is a general-purpose utility suitable for all ages and is not directed at children. Because we do not collect any personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect information from children. 7. Your Choices and Control
- You can clear your transfer history from inside the app at any time.
- You can revoke any device permission from your system settings.
- We don't store your personal content on a server, and there's no account to close — uninstalling QuickieCon removes all of its on-device data. The anonymous app diagnostics we collect are not linked to you, so there is no personal profile to delete.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If we ever introduce a feature that involves collecting data, we will update this policy to explain it clearly before that feature is released.
